The Bienal do Livro de São Paulo is Brazil's other great public book biennial and it does not fall in 2027. The editions alternate with Rio. São Paulo held 2026, Rio holds 3–12 September 2027, and the next São Paulo biennial is 2028. This row is here so the calendar is not misread as a 2027 São Paulo fair. The 2028 dates are not published. This listing uses 1–10 September 2028 at Distrito Anhembi, the recent home of the fair, as a planning placeholder in the biennial's usual season. For BooksAffair, do not staff a São Paulo biennial in 2027. Use Rio that year, and keep this row as the 2028 return.
