The New Delhi World Book Fair is India's flagship publishing event and the highest-priority fair on the BooksAffair calendar inside the country. The National Book Trust, under the Ministry of Education, organises it with the India Trade Promotion Organisation at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. The 2027 edition is confirmed for 16 January at 11:00 through 24 January at 20:00, in Halls 2 to 6. NBT presents it as a major publishing-world gathering: Indian and foreign publishers, authors' corners, book launches, and international events share the same grounds. Readers come in very large numbers, so the fair is both a rights and distribution meeting and a public festival of reading. For BooksAffair it is the single best week to meet Indian publishers, authors, and the reading public in one place, and to see which lists are being launched for the year.
