The Chennai International Book Fair is the short international publishing meeting on the Tamil Nadu calendar, listed for 16–18 January 2027 at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam. It is a tier-two event aimed at publishers and authors rather than the long public Chennai book season. The three days overlap the opening of the New Delhi World Book Fair, so teams should split rather than treat the two as one trip. Stalls and meetings focus on Tamil and English publishing, translation, and introductions between local houses and visiting publishers. For BooksAffair it is a compact way to meet Chennai publishers and authors at the start of the year. Confirm the daily hours with the organiser; this listing uses 10:00 to 18:00.
