The Riyadh International Book Fair is Saudi Arabia's leading public book fair and a top-tier event for Arab publishing. The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission organises it. Recent editions have drawn very large reader crowds, a guest-country pavilion, and hundreds of Arab and international publishing houses. The commission confirmed the 2026 fair for 10–19 December and has not yet published 2027 dates or the venue. This listing uses 10–19 December 2027, that same window, and should be corrected when the announcement is made. Older editions were often held in September or October, so a September assumption is no longer the current pattern. For BooksAffair the fair is the main Saudi meeting place for publishers, authors, and readers, and a complement to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi rather than a substitute. Update the venue field when the commission names the site.
