Verb Wellington is the capital's literary festival, usually in November. The Wellington Writers Walk is a permanent waterfront sculpture trail, not a festival, so it is not listed as an event. Verb is the gathering of New Zealand and visiting writers, publishers, and readers. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 4–8 November 2027. For BooksAffair it is a tier-three complement to the Auckland festival in May, useful for the publishers and writers based in the capital.
