The TÜYAP Istanbul Book Fair is Turkey's largest book fair and a tier-one public and professional event for Turkish publishing. It is usually held in the first half of November at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center in Büyükçekmece, for about ten days. Publishers, authors, and a very large reading public share the halls. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 6–14 November 2027. Those days overlap the Sharjah International Book Fair, so the two trips compete. For BooksAffair, Istanbul is the Turkish meeting place for publishers and readers and the main window onto Turkish literature in translation. Izmir in spring is the smaller regional fair.
