The Toronto International Festival of Authors is Canada's flagship literary festival, usually in October at Harbourfront Centre. International and Canadian authors, publishers, and a ticketed audience share a multi-day programme. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 22 October to 1 November 2027. For BooksAffair it is the Canadian author event of the year and the right Toronto week for publishers who tour writers. Word on the Street, in September, is the free outdoor book day and is listed separately.
