The Port Harcourt Book Festival, also known as the Garden City Literary Festival, is Nigeria's other major literary gathering, usually in October in Port Harcourt. Writers, publishers, and readers from across the country and abroad use it as a festival rather than a trade stall city. UNESCO named Port Harcourt a World Book Capital in 2014, and the festival carries that legacy. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 21–24 October 2027.
