The Helsinki Book Fair is Finland's main book event, held at Messukeskus, usually over four days in late October. Finnish publishers, authors, and a very high proportion of the reading public meet in one hall, with a strong rights and translation conversation around Nordic literature. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 28–31 October 2027, a Thursday-to-Sunday run in that season. For BooksAffair it is the Finnish meeting place and the efficient Nordic fair if only one autumn trip north is possible. Gothenburg, in September, is the Swedish counterpart.
