Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan

The Tokyo Art Book Fair is Japan's main public gathering of independent publishers, artists' books, and small presses. The old Tokyo International Book Fair is no longer held, so this fair, together with the October Library Fair in Yokohama, is the Tokyo-area book ecosystem for 2027. The art book fair is usually in the autumn. The 2027 dates and hall are not yet published. This listing uses 18–20 September 2027 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, a frequent home for the fair. For BooksAffair it is where independent Japanese publishers, illustrators, and a dedicated reading public are in one building. It is not a rights fair on the Beijing or Frankfurt model.
