The Göteborg Book Fair, Bokmässan, is Scandinavia's largest book fair, held at Svenska Mässan over four days in late September. Publishers, authors, librarians, and a huge public share seminars and stands, with a different theme and guest focus each year. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 23–26 September 2027, the usual Thursday-to-Sunday slot. For BooksAffair it is the Swedish and wider Nordic meeting place: rights conversations happen, but the distinctive value is the number of readers and librarians in the building. It is a higher priority than the smaller Oslo festival later the same month.
