The Budapest International Book Festival is Hungary's main publishing fair, recently held in early October at Millenáris. The 2026 edition ran 1–4 October. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 30 September to 3 October 2027, the same early-October shape, just before Frankfurt. Hungarian and visiting publishers, authors, and a large public share the programme. For BooksAffair it is the Hungarian meeting place. A September assumption is slightly early; early October matches the latest edition.
