The American Library Association Annual Conference is the main US publishing and library trade gathering of 2027, and it replaces the old BookExpo role on this calendar. BookExpo itself is no longer held, so it is not listed. ALA Annual is scheduled for 25–28 June 2027 in New Orleans, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Publishers exhibit to librarians, who are among the most important institutional buyers and reading influencers in the United States. Author events and awards sit beside the exhibition. For BooksAffair this is the US industry week: library buyers, publishers, and the authors they programme. LibLearnX in January is the smaller winter library meeting.
