The Feria del Libro de Madrid is Spain's great public book fair, held in the Parque del Retiro. Bookshops and publishers sell directly to readers, and authors sign for long queues. It traditionally opens in the last days of May and runs for a little over two weeks. The 2027 timetable is not yet published. This listing uses 28 May to 13 June 2027, matching that usual opening. For BooksAffair it is the Madrid week for meeting Spanish authors, booksellers, and the reading public. LIBER, earlier or later in the year depending on the rotation, is the professional fair; Retiro is where books are sold to people.
