Bologna in April 2027 is three fairs at once, which is why it sits in the global top tier rather than as a children's-only trip. Bologna Children's Book Fair is the world's leading trade event for children's and young-adult publishing, illustration, and licensing. BolognaBookPlus covers general trade publishing. Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids brings brand and entertainment licensing into the same halls. The confirmed dates are 5–8 April 2027 at BolognaFiere, and Poland is Guest of Honour. Publishers, agents, illustrators, packagers, and licensors come for rights, co-editions, and series deals. For BooksAffair this is the concentrated meeting place for children's publishers, illustrators, and the wider trade houses that exhibit through BookPlus. The public is not the main audience; the value is professional relationships and the books that will travel internationally over the following year.
