The Belgrade International Book Fair is one of the oldest and most important literary events in Southeast Europe. The 2026 edition, its 69th edition, will take place from October 23–31, with the Republic of Tunisia as Guest of Honour.

The fair functions simultaneously as a public literary festival and a professional publishing marketplace. Publishers from Serbia and numerous international markets present their annual publishing output, while authors, booksellers, librarians, distributors, multimedia companies and other publishing professionals use the event to establish contacts and develop commercial and cultural partnerships.

A particularly important aspect is its regional position. Belgrade provides a gateway to the publishing markets of the Balkans and Southeast Europe, making the fair valuable for publishers interested in Serbian-language literature, regional distribution, translation rights and international cooperation.
