The Baku International Book Fair is a major literary and publishing event in Azerbaijan and serves as an important meeting platform for publishers, authors, readers and cultural institutions from Azerbaijan and neighboring regions. The 2026 edition is the 12th Baku International Book Fair and will be hosted at the Baku Expo Center.

The fair is designed to promote reading, encourage interaction between writers and readers, increase awareness of publishing brands, and create opportunities for publishers and authors to establish professional relationships. The organizers describe it as a platform for developing the book business in the digital age while facilitating the exchange of local and international publishing experience.

The program includes book presentations, author appearances, seminars, competitions, cultural activities and professional meetings. Its geographical position makes Baku particularly interesting for publishers looking to explore connections between the Caucasus, Central Asia, Turkey, Eastern Europe and international publishing markets.

For international publishers, the fair can serve as a useful entry point into the Azerbaijani and broader regional book market.
