The Amman International Book Fair is one of Jordan’s major literary and publishing events and an important gathering point for the Arabic publishing community. The 2026 edition is the 25th edition and will be held at the Jordan International Exhibition Center at Mecca Mall.

The fair brings together publishers, authors, booksellers, universities, cultural organizations, libraries and readers, with a strong emphasis on Arabic literature and the wider Arab publishing market. Its program combines commercial book exhibition with cultural and intellectual activities, allowing visitors to discover new publications while attending literary discussions, lectures, author events and other cultural programs.

A particularly important feature of the 2026 edition is that Iraq has been selected as the Guest of Honour. This provides a platform for Iraqi literature, authors, publishing houses and cultural heritage and strengthens the fair’s role as a bridge between Jordanian, Iraqi and wider Arab cultural communities.
