The Manila International Book Fair is the Philippines' main book fair and a tier-one event for Filipino publishers, authors, and readers. It is usually held in mid-September at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. The public comes to buy books; publishers use the week for launches and for education and trade meetings. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 16–20 September 2027. The Philippines was Guest of Honour at Frankfurt in 2025, so Filipino lists already have a recent international path. For BooksAffair, SMX is the week to meet that publishing community at home.
