The Hay Festival in Hay-on-Wye is one of the world's best-known literary festivals, usually eleven days from late May into early June. Authors, thinkers, and a large ticketed audience fill tents in a small Welsh market town. The 2027 dates are not yet published. This listing uses 27 May to 6 June 2027. For BooksAffair it is a tier-one author and influencer event, not a trade stall fair. Publishers come because their writers are on stage. It can be paired with the London Book Fair only as two separate trips; the seasons do not meet.
