-winning Wallace the Brave comic strip presents the most humorous and timeless portrait of childhood since Calvin and Hobbes.
Snug Harbor, Rhode Island, is a paradise for exploration. It's also the home of the motley, good-natured cast of kids featured in the award-winning daily comic strip Wallace the Brave, which appears in hundreds of newspapers across the country and has been featured in news outlets including PBS, NPR, and The Boston Globe.
In this full-color collection of comic adventures, The strip's main character, Wallace McLellan, has big dreams, like riding a giant ammonite down a 100-foot wave while wearing a cowboy hat, turning his bath tub into a giant ball pit, and finding out whether the cracks in the school walls actually lead to another dimension. Joining him are best friends Spud, Amelia, Rose, brother Sterling, and his parents, who he secretly suspects are a sea monster and mermaid.
Whether navigating tire mazes or inner-tubing down the steepest sledding hill in Snug Harbor, Wallace and his friends deliver endless fun, imaginative adventures, and laugh-out-loud moments that delight inquisitive young readers everywhere.
