I regret to say that this is not the book you expect about Vangelis. I regret to say that the book you expect, an official biography, does not exist. If that book comes to light some day, something we all long for, this one will become just a curiosity for fans. In the meantime, there is no other choice than to gather information about Vangelis from different websites … something which someone has already done and has shaped here; it goes without saying that this is the same person behind Vangelis.com.es, a website with a modest design, but which brims with dedication.
The author may be reproached for having included considerable personal opinion in this book and he may be reproached for not having been more exhaustive, but please read the introduction and you will see that there’s honesty in it. Thanks are due to Vega Moralejo, who created a website in Spanish about Vangelis, when the only thing we could find about Vangelis in this language were brief news, when we didn’t have automatic translators yet and when, in short, he created the only website in Spanish included in the Vangelis Web Ring and, for years, the only book about Vangelis in Spanish and one of the two in English.
This book, in short, could be better… but for the moment being it’s the best book about Vangelis.
