A book based on Numbers 13 of The Holy Bible, Tribes Scouting in the Promised Land responds to the question, Why? Moses had sent
...
leaders of 12 Tribes of Israel into Canaan to find out what was there and to develop strategies for taking the land. All the leaders confirmed that everything promised was there. It was indeed a marvelous land. However, ten (10) leaders said "No! We cannot take the land!" The other two were excited, claiming that they could win over the enemies and take the land.
I wanted to know why the leaders reported as they did. I examined the meanings of the names of the leaders and others in Numbers 13 and found not only why they gave their reports, but also the factors in our lives today that lead to our successes and failures. In addition, Tribes contains workable exercises to deal with these factors.

About the Author
Neeta Blair, Ph.D., a life-long student of Truth has a special interest in making ideas as clear as possible. This desire surfaced when she was a teenage Sunday School teacher. Later she launched a more than 30-year quest, seeking ways to answer her "how-to" questions. She wanted to convert her questions to knowledge she could apply. In the mid-1970s, Blair began to write her studies from the Bible.
Dr. Blair's question, "But, how do we do that? intensified her search in early 1997. In response to her questions, she wrote and self-published a series of books. In her books, Dr. Blair focuses on how to make Bible ideas active. A key factor in reaching this goal was finding out how we use words. She found value in names and locations. This was a major breakthrough in seeing how we think and feel.
Dr. Blair spent many years as a professional social worker, dealing with the many needs of families and children. She is CEO of a small firm that deals with family systems issues, Family Consultation Services.
