Hagan, Theda
Description
This is the second work of fiction for the author to have in print. This is the story of three young girls who attended church faithfully and enjoyed
...
a fellowship with God. Theda Hagan tells of the different roads that each one chose to travel. Their story begins in a small town in the deep South, and ends up in a large city to the north, that is complete with all the vile and corruption that are present in most towns today. The story is set in the 1940's, when life was much simpler than it is today. You will marvel at the cost of living, the amount of their pay checks and even the color schemes that they used in that era. In the 1940's there were a lot of prejudices (especially in the south) and morality was very different from the world we live in today. Some of the choices they could make in those days (would not seem quite so bad in our world today) could get a person in such predicaments that they would be ashamed to come face to face with people they knew, or even the people they did not know. With such a stigma on their lives, caused from the seemingly impossible situation that they find themselves in, it would seem that they could never get back on the right road again. It may have even seemed that God had forsaken them. This story grips your attention right from the start as life unfolds for the three young girls and their friends, the choices they make and the fact that God always loves us and will help us no matter what kind of mess we get ourselves into. Traveling the Back Roads Home is in larger print, but not quite as large as the ones above.
