About the Author
Theda Hagan was born in a small town in Western Kentucky, the daughter of a coal miner. She has spent most of her life believing and trusting in God.
Throughout her books you will find short stories and events that actually happened in her life and some that happened to her family and friends. In her books she relates life's experiences, some funny and some sad.
She and her husband raised two sons, God called the youngest to preach when he was only six years old, but he could already read the Bible. He is still preaching today and is the pastor of a church in Mississippi.
Her oldest son played the piano, organ and gave music lessons. He traveled here and abroad with gospel groups, was nominated several times for a Dove Award. At one point he was voted the number one gospel music arranger in the United States. He owned and operated sound studios and at the time of his untimely and tragic death was Minister of Music at the church in Mississippi where his brother is the pastor.
The author's first book was printed in 1995 after much insistence from her sons. The book was printed in July and her oldest son was fatally injured in a car/train accident in August. In October she found out that her husband had lung cancer and he passed away in May of the following year.
After her first book, I Believe in Miracles was put into print people tended to say that she could write a book about miracles because seemingly she had a perfect life. A loving husband, two great sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and five healthy grandsons. After the tragedies that took place in her life she still continues to write books about her life and the goodness of God. She can now say, "been there, done that," and she still has an unwavering faith in a miracle-working God.
