Born George Edward Taggart, 1942, Monroeville,Alabama. Moved to Detroit, Michigan 1963, employed in building trades until 1979, operates two successful businesses since 1980.
My name was changed to George Aknartoon in 1978. I became interested in the status of African-Americans in 1973 when I heard a question. "Something is holding me back, Is it because i am black?" My research on that question began and propelled me into regions of abstract philosophy and psychology that I had never realized existed before. I write under the pen name of Isse.
