About the Author
Fred Pullman has been devoted to the American land and its wildlife ever since as a ten year old boy he taught his mallards to fly to Lake Michigan from the family lawn in Lake Forest, Illinois.
He has been involved with The Nature Conservancy as Chairman of its Illinois Chapter and later as a member of the Nevada Advisory Committee for the Great Basin office. He served terms as chairman of the Conservation Committee and as President of the Boone and Crockett Club, the oldest conservation organization in America, founded by Theodore Roosevelt in 1887.
