Götsch is known as one of the most important references in agroforestry systems in the Americas. The knowledge generated by his research gave rise to a new form of agriculture, which he called syntropic agriculture. In addition to projects in Latin America, he also coordinates initiatives in Portugal, Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland — his work has influenced thousands of people around the world. There is an urgent need to publicize a production system that, at the same time as it produces tons of healthy and tasty food, recovers degraded areas, restores lost waters and springs and brings back our forests, which push us towards this endeavor.
