Jean Cummings, and her husband raised buffalo in Michigan for 20 years. Because her husband was born and raised on an Indian reservation, native lore is a great part of their lives. Research into buffalo and the western United States brought to life the colorful places and people of this story. Mrs. Cummings weaves an exciting tale of romance and adventure set in the nineteenth century.
