Ash Barkhorn
Description
An adorable figure named Scribble Scrabble takes children on a journey of expressing emotions rather than suppressing them. Children are drawn to the
...
concept that, mid-story, they become the illustrators (scrabblers) and are encouraged and able to draw in their own book to express their feelings. Their depictions can simply be scribble scrabbles or whatever they see fit. Their drawings remain staples of the book that can be manipulated and added to over and over since emotions are always changing.
With extra blank pages, children have the opportunity to use the book as an outlet for expression that is open ended. Throughout the story, they learn synonyms for words that they are already familiar with, and gain new descriptive language to convey their feelings all while falling in love with Scribble Scrabble's array of emotions. While of course it can be shared among siblings, it is intended for individual creative use.
