ighted my mind and senses." -- Mary Jean Dwyer- online review Product Description This book contains 100 poems by Ralph Herrington Farabee. It is his second volume of poetry; WERDZ is the first volume. They are short, succinct and humorous in content. Many pun-filled touches exist, such as one would find in Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky". The author was greatly influenced by the novels of James Joyce, so you will find invented words and jokes, along with a concern for how the poems sound when read aloud. From the Back Cover Werdz/Shmerdz... after WERDZ, his first book of poetry, the next title just had to be SHMERDZ, in keeping with the spirit of the first book, "like James Joyce's classic chicken, I just scratch around until a few letters come together to make a word, then I arrange and re-arrange, looking for something usable." About the Author Farabee spent a dozen years in New York City, working for several advertising agencies and graphics firms. He took a break to teach classes in: graphics, books and publishing, advertising, public relations and marketing. He is currently creative director for an advertising company in Austin, Texas. His wife, "Wanninie" and three grown children reside in Austin, Texas. Excerpt. © Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved.
