De Grisha-trilogie is fantastisch. Het speelt zich af in een soort magisch oud-Rusland, het is enorm spannend, de hoofdpersoon (Alina) is kick ass, ha ... ar beste vriend Mal is swoonworthy en uiteraard zitten er ook de nodige kwaadaardige mannen, donkere krachten en plottwisten in. Verder wordt het redelijk ingewikkeld als we er te veel over vertellen, dus u moet het gewoon zelf gaan lezen New York Times bestsellerauteur Leigh Bardugo is geboren in Jeruzalem en opgegroeid in Los Angeles. Ze heeft aan Yale gestudeerd en woont nu in Hollywood waar ze naast auteur ook make-up artieste is van diverse Hollywoodproducties. Daarnaast zingt ze in een bandje, genaamd Captain Automatic
