From Library Journal
Speechwriter Jessie Matlock might be working hard on the reelection campaign of New York's beloved governor, but she certainly isn't having an affair with him. So why is she getting threatening phone calls saying, "Stop sleeping with the governor or I'll kill him"?

From AudioFile
In her latest suspense novel, Catherine Coulter devises a mixture of revenge and murder. Although the main character is the savvy Becca Matlock, the audiobook is read by Jason Culp, popular film and television actor. The choice to have a male voice be the speaker for a woman's adventures (however tough our heroine may be!) is an interesting one and, thankfully, does not detract from the intensity of the story. In fact, Culp lends a general sense of mystery to the audiobook--like an eerie nightfall over the sweet coastal town in Maine to which Becca flees for supposed safety. Sound effects are used effectively, making this a well-rounded production. R.A.P. © AudioFile 2000, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
