raphy and spiritual implications for the souls that pass through it. Throughout four deeply developed parts, various aspects of purgatory are examined, providing a complete and enlightening view of this Christian doctrine. This work traces a history of purgatory, showing the evolution of the concept from its origins before redemption to its formulation in Christian theology. It examines in detail the role of free will in purgatory, the accidental enhancement of the degree of glory and the descent of Christ to the lower regions. One of the most outstanding chapters is the one devoted to the "geography of purgatory," which is sure to capture the reader's attention. The suffering of these souls and their relationship with the theology of the resurrection is discussed in depth. Finally, Father Fortea closes the text with the section "last considerations on purgatory", where he offers final reflections on the temporal phases of the atonement and the way in which we can imagine the souls that go through this process of purification. This book develops a panoramic vision of purgatory, exposing the general notions about this state of purification. Its relative brevity is emphasized and the relationship between earthly time and the time of purification is explored. In addition, various experiences are analyzed, underlining the importance of spiritual healing in order to gain access to heaven.
