Included is an in-depth presentation and analysis of divergent views from a great number of sources. The remaining gaps in the manuscript consist mainly of some missing quotes from other commentators that would help illustrate certain points. Most of the topics are almost fully developed , and the resources and multi-faceted lines of thought that are compiled here should be of value to any serious scholar who wishes to delve further. While this manuscript was already nearly in its present state of completion by 1985, it remains a unique, highly readable and engaging scholarly treatment that no one interested in this mysterious and influential figure should miss.
