दीपेश की पत्नी ने जवाब दे दिया; ‘‘नहीं; मुझे किसी से कोई जवाब नहीं चाहिए। किसी से कोई प्रश्न भी नहीं करना।’’
ओई बोल पड़ी; ‘‘मैं सिर्फ प्रेम-वल्लरी हूँ। दीपेश के सहारे फली-फूली हूँ। आप इस तरह समझें कि हमारा संबंध लिवइन रिलेशन जैसा ही था। अब मैं वह भी खत्म करती हूँ। दीपेश आपके थे; आपके हैं; आपके ही रहेंगे। प्रकृति हमसे यही चाहती थी तो मिला दिया; अब उसका हित पूर्ण हुआ तो दीपेश आपके हैं।’’
