has seen the College grow and develop into Mount St. Joseph University. Through these changes the Sisters of Charity have given shape to the Mission of the University as they themselves have lived out their own Mission. The goal of this book is to begin to rediscover these links between the Missions of Mount St. Joseph University and the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. We seek to understand how the amazing lives of these Sisters were guided by dedication to their mission and by seeing their work in the world as a model for the life of the University itself. This book will consist of a series of critical and scholarly profiles depicting the life, thought, and impact of particular Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, as well as Sisters from other religious orders who have impacted the University. These profiles will demonstrate how these Sisters embodied their Mission, how their life of faith intersected with their academic and professional endeavors, and how they provide examples and models for Mount St. Joseph students, faculty, and staff today.
