The guide also provides: a suggested scope and sequence, a detailed explanation of each skill and/or the spelling generalization/rule, posters for each syllable type, multisyllabic word lists based on syllable division patterns (with schwa and without), helpful tips, and a list of phonetically irregular words.
The decodable phrases and sentences in this book are designed as a starting point. Once students are able, they should also be reading teacher-controlled passages that allows for a deeper dive into comprehension.
