God is teaching you through His WORD. The Multiplying, Creating a Culture of Disciple-Makers Leader Guide equips disciples with concise and easy-to-follow steps for helping others engage with Scripture and experience life transformation. This tool provides discipleship group leaders details for a different topic addressed in each of the 14 sessions. The Leader Prep section highlights the focus of the goal of the session and equips the disciple-maker with Scripture verses and prayer points applicable to the topic, as well as practical action steps for organizing thoughts and preparing for effectively leading the group discussion. The Group Discussion Highlights in the Leader Guide provide an optional introduction statement for the session’s topic, key points from Multiplying to engage participants to share their thoughts about and additional discussion prompts not included in the manual. At the end of each session, the Leader Guide prompts leaders to pray through a Meeting Reflection about their leadership and the needs of each participant. Leaders are also given a Mid-Week Check-in to text or email group members encouragement and a Scripture verse related to the weekly topic.
Multiplying is a guide for both young and mature believers who want to engage in spiritual formation. This consumable workbook guides disciples through Christian principles, developing their relationship with Jesus while preparing them to be disciple-makers.
After discipling students and adults for years, Bob and Barbie Magruder developed Multiplying after noticing the discipleship gap between growing as a disciple and becoming a disciple-maker. From beginning to end, this resource will challenge disciples to engage in discipleship with the intent of discipling others in the future.
Just as Jesus spent quality time with Peter, James, and John, Multiplyingwas designedfor one facilitator to walk through the manual with three disciples but can be used in other formats. This small-group experience focuses on weekly assignments and accountability as the members engage with Scripture and implement life-changing spiritual disciplines. While intended to be a 14-week journey, each group will choose its own schedule, pace, and an option to extend the discipleship journey organically for a longer period. Multiplying concludes with the commissioning of every participant to “go and make disciples” who make disciples. As the Holy Spirit equips us, let’s create a culture of disciple-makers!
