Paul Manning's life is about to implode. Visiting Paris for a medical meeting, Santa Monica plastic surgeon Manning meets a beautiful Frenchwoman, Sylvie Jacob in the Hotel Crillon bar. Forty eight hours later, Sylvie lies dead at the base of the Hotel de Monaco, having fallen from Manning's sixth floor room under suspicious circumstances.
Convinced that a similar incident in his past will trigger an immediate arrest, Manning flees Monaco, the Monagast Police and the late Sylvie Jacob's associates in hot pursuit.
On the run in Paris, Manning learns of Sylvie's background and discovers firsthand how much her associates want to find him and the reasons why. Sylvie Jacob's employer, The Committee, issues this edict: Catch Manning, find out what he knows and kill him.
Manning has seventy two hours to stop the Committee's plan or be blamed for the worst loss of life in Paris since the Second World War.
