If you're starting to learn how to write in Japanese then this book has everything you need!
Japanese language has one of the most interesting writin
...
g systems in the world. It uses 3 different scripts: hiragana, katakana and kanji characters. This workbook will give you a jump-start in using these 3 scripts.
1. Hiragana
In this chapter we provide you with the basic information on Japanese hiragana syllabary and then go through it column by column with ample space for writing practice. Immediately after you've learnt your first characters you will be able to write some Japanese words with them.
2. Katakana
This chapter is dedicated to katakana — the second syllabary used in Japanese writing. After a brief explanation on what it is we will cover the katakana column by column again with lots of space for writing practice.
3. Kanji
This chapter begins with a quick-start course on kanji characters in which we explain what they are, how they came about, how to read them and how best to learn them. The following lessons continue this course by introducing 10 frequently used kanji components (radicals) along with the characters that are based on them. You will get plenty of opportunity to practice writing kanji characters, compound words and sentences.
