es a clear connection between basic signals and systems concepts and up-to-date applications in signal processing, communications, and control systems using MATLAB. The labs in this book expose undergraduate EE students to topics that have traditionally been presented only at the graduate level, including such interesting areas of study and research as speech and music synthesis, image and audio restoration, biomedical control, and telecommunication systems. This updated printing brings all of the MATLAB examples in the book up to the MATLAB Version 5 standard; as with all of the Bookware Companion Series titles, MATLAB (.M) files supporting the book are posted on the Brooks/Cole web site for downloading by students and instructors.
