ness in daily life and their relevance to Navajo culture. As in the previous four books, each verb is conjugated in up to seven modes. At least two sample sentences written by a knowledgeable native speaker are given for each verb, as well as a conjugation combination, full stem set, breakdown of classifier, inner and outer prefixes and objects, and more. A major theme in the selection of verbs for this books is motion verbs. Intransitive verbs such as to dash, sprint, float, lope, gallop, slide, roll, glide through the air, and fall down are given. Transitive verbs such as to drop it, throw it, drag it, tear it, and sprinkle it are provided. And in keeping with past books, a complete set of handling verbs, in this case doubling as motion verbs, have been provided. A number of verbs dealing with weather are found in this book. These include to start to rain, to start to snow, and to start to blow (wind). Verbs relating to spatial change using the inner object ho for space are also given, such as to heat up (an area), to grow cold (an area), and to arrive (a season). A number of the corresponding transitive verbs such as to chill it (an area) and to heat it up (an area) are provided. As always, a number of highly practical verbs are provided. These include to harvest it (corn), to play cards, to smoke it (tobacco), to manage it (livestock), to mix it (mortar), and to weld or solder it (metal). These are balanced with more abstract verbs such as to be patient, to become tired with it, to give someone a cold shoulder, and to learn one's lesson. A brief description of the changes in form that occur with seriative h is given. We have also provided examples and a simple rundown of how vowel harmonization occurs with seriative h. The three conditions required for seriative h vowel harmonization are listed. And numerous examples of verbs in which seriative h occurs in Book 5 and in preceding Books 1-4 in the Fun With Navajo Verbs Series are provided. As for the previous books, a free downloadable software game has also been devised. It provides practice with verbs presenting seriative h vowel harmonization and helps build vocabulary. This book is intended to provide an enjoyable and challenging way to engage with Navajo verbs at your own pace. As always, the goal is to have fun learning Navajo!
