h God is equipped to transition to an army on the offense. We can go into the enemy's camp and claim our families and friends from the citadel of hate, aka the gates of hell. We can and must take back what is rightfully ours. Satan is a thief; he takes things that he has no right or authority to touch. We must be bold in the Spirit and reclaim our promises from the illegitimate possessors. This is our birthright as the King's kids.
Taking the battle back to the enemy is the basis of what this book is all about. When we realize that living for God is a battle, we understand that we might as well fight effectively. The apostle Paul taught the Corinthians that we should not fight ineffectively. First Corinthians 9:26 says, "So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air" (ESV).
