The original flashback is found in A Letter to Veronica.He wrote this to give to his youngest daughter, Veronica Conant Cassetta, and it details life on the Conant farm in the 1930’s. After the letter, he continued writing memories (flashbacks) as they came to him until finally, in 2000, we published the 1st edition of Flashbacks by Sandy McDuff.
This 4th edition marks 15 years since his passing in 2008. The stories are written exactly as he wrote them, typing on an old computer with just his index fingers. We used minimal editing to maintain his “voice” and character. We added some additional photographs and a short epilogue noting his wife, Dorothy’s passing in 2001, his marriage to Marie Spaulding and his passing in 2008.
