After retiring at the age of 62 Orlando began writing stories about his experiences and they were published weekly in a local newspaper. At the age of 90 he selected some of his favorite stories and photographs and fulfilled a lifelong dream of publishing a book El Viajero, Spanish for "The Traveler".
In El Viajero Orlando writes powerfully about his life, thoughts, observations, and opinions. His stories will stay with you as they give you the opportunity to learn firsthand about different cultures, people and travel. Some believe Orlando had a keen sense of awareness or perhaps a guardian angel that helped him survive.
