ide his illness from everyone including himself and for this pays a tremendous emotional price. It isn’t until he is hospitalized in his freshman year at Columbia University that Alexander begins to face the reality of his mental illness. Bravely, he leaves behind everything to begin life anew at Gould Farm, a residential treatment facility in the heart of the Berkshires. Bit by bit, one small victory at a time and with many setbacks, he regains his independence and builds a new and better life for himself.
“Wow! What a wonderfully honest and thoughtful description of Alexander’s life and journey. It is both an autobiography and a guide for a life in recovery. This heartfelt work will no doubt touch many lives and offer hope…” ~Lisanne Finston is the Executive Director of Gould Farm
Alexander is now a research technician at one of the major research institutions in Boston. He has 19 years of experience in his field and has co-authored 14 full-length scientific publications including one first author paper and a second in progress. He is so grateful for the help he received at Gould Farm that he plans to give 50% of his earnings from this book in donations to Gould Farm.
