hing, life experience and scripture. There is also a section on spiritual growth, spiritual warfare, forgiveness, the occult, and the theological virtues. The gifts discussed in this book are Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, Fear of the Lord, Prophecy, Word of Knowledge, Mental Images, Mercy, Giving, Leadership, Serving in Ministry, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues, Healing, Miracles, Discernment of Spirits, Evangelization, Apostleship, Service, Pastoring, and Teaching. It’s written from a Catholic perspective in that most of the sources used come from this denomination, although there are examples from other denominations as well. Some of the sources are Pope Francis, Pope John Paul 11, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, St. Jerome, St. John Chrysostom, Pope Gregory the Great, St. Augustine, St. Teresa of Avila, the Documents of Vatican 11, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
It is a new revision of the book, Discovering the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Revised Edition. I replaced the questions at the end of each chapter with a chapter summary, the callouts were eliminated, additional information was inserted, and there is a meditation on the Our Father at the end of the book. Much of the remaining content is the same.
I wrote this book primarily for Catholics who are on fire with a love for God and a desire to serve but have minimal knowledge of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
