the dramatic works of RamÃ3n Francisco de la Cruz Cano y Olmedilla, a prominent Spanish playwright of the 18th century. The collection, introduced by Agustin Francisco G. Duran y de Vicente Yañez, offers a comprehensive view of De la Cruz's *sainetes*, short, one-act plays that provide comedic and often satirical glimpses into everyday Spanish life.
Featuring both published and previously unpublished works, this edition provides invaluable insights into the social customs, manners, and language of the period. Students and scholars of Spanish literature and theater will appreciate this collection for its historical significance and its contribution to understanding the development of Spanish dramatic arts. The introductory discourse by Duran further enriches the collection, providing critical context and analysis of De la Cruz's work.
