soner. God warned Paul not to go to Jerusalem many times, but Paul had his own agenda. He was a man like us, with his own will, passions, and of course – sin nature. God eventually brought Paul to Rome as He had planned, but not the easy way. He had to pass through many hearings and trials, be beaten and jailed, chained, and shipwrecked before he set foot on Italian soil. Paul’s route teaches us that it is best to be in God’s geographical will when we can deduce where that location is! It is much better to follow divine guidance as opposed to personal predilection. By the time we reach the end of Acts, the Theocratic Kingdom is in the process of being postponed and the mystery of the Church has been revealed and is in its early formation. Paul’s epistles were written during the period covered by these chapters, perhaps even the prison epistles.
